Volunteer Positions

The International microgreen growers association USA is led by the direction and policy set by the IMGA USA board of directors. The board consists of the director,  assistant director,  executive secretary, treasurer,  grower advocate, educational advocate,  and one agricultural business and industry representative.

The terms of office of members of the IMGA USA is set by the board of directors and the method of selection of such members, other than the ex-officio members, shall be prescribed in the bylaws.

The board of directors shall meet at least once a month at such time and place as may be prescribed by the board and shall present an annual report.

Board Director

The director is a key leadership role on the board responsible for overseeing and guiding the organization’s activities. They play a pivotal role in setting the strategic direction, making important decisions, and ensuring the board functions effectively.

Board Assistant Director

The assistant director supports the director in their duties and often steps in when the director is unavailable. They work closely with the director and may take on specific responsibilities related to the organization’s operations.

Board Treasurer

The treasurer manages the organization’s finances, including budgeting, financial reporting, and fiscal planning. They ensure that financial resources are used effectively and responsibly.

Board Secretary

The executive secretary is responsible for administrative tasks, record-keeping, and ensuring that board meetings run smoothly. They handle communication and document management, helping to keep the board organized and informed.

Board Grower Advocate

A grower advocate represents the interests of farmers or growers within the organization. They work to address the specific needs and concerns of the agricultural community, advocating for policies and initiatives that benefit growers.

Board Educational Advocate

The educational advocate focuses on promoting and supporting educational initiatives related to agriculture. They may work to enhance agricultural education, outreach, and training programs for the benefit of the industry and the community.

Board agricultural & Industrial

This position represents the interests of businesses and industries related to agriculture. They provide insights and expertise from the business sector and help align the organization’s goals with the needs of the broader agricultural industry.

Committee Head

The committee head is responsible for leading and managing specific committees within the organization. They oversee the work of committee members, ensure goals are met, and report to the board on committee activities. Committee heads play a critical role in achieving the organization’s objectives through specialized subgroups.

Volunteers

Volunteers are individuals who offer their time and skills to support the organization’s activities and initiatives. They may participate in various projects, events, or tasks as needed, contributing to the organization’s success through their dedication and commitment. Volunteers play a crucial role in furthering the organization’s mission and goals, often working alongside board members and staff.
